A local holiday tradition got some national attention on this afternoon when Saratoga Sweets, the maker of the ever popular Peppermint Pig was featured in a segment of Anderson Live.

Mike Fitzgerald says the pig grows more popular every year and he's gobbling up the attention.

By tradition, the Peppermint Pig is broken after a holiday dinner. It's passed around the table so everyone can take a turn breaking off a piece with a little hammer.

Mike says it’s meant to ensure peace and prosperity for the coming year and he says this year business has been “Pig' Crazy.”
