Police investigate armed robbery in Colonie

COLONIE - Police are investigating an armed robbery of a desk clerk at a Colonie motel.
Police say it happened at the Budget Motel in Colonie on 1222 Central Avenue a little before 1 p.m.
The suspect was described as a tall thin black male with a long blue jacket and hood.
Police say the suspect had a black handgun, took money from the motel, and left in an unknown direction.
The clerk was not injured.
The amount of money taken is still unknown.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Colonie Police at 783-2754.
