Fire breaks out at Rensselaer Volunteer Ambulance Building

RENSSELAER - A fire broke out at the Rensselaer Volunteer Ambulance building on Third Street Friday morning.

They tell NewsChannel 13 the fire broke out on the first floor of the building.

Two ambulances were inside, but we don't know if those vehicles were damaged at this time.

The building sustained smoke damage.

An assistant fire chief tells NewsChannel 13 that the building will be closed for some time.
