ALBANY - Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson has resigned as co-chair of the Capital Region Economic Development Council.

The RPI president has served as co-chair for the past two years.

Jackson says with a strong strategic plan in place, she believes that the timing is ideal for her to step down.

The council was created by Governor Cuomo to help spur economic growth throughout the state.
