Watervliet man accused of shooting at home

WATERVLIET - A Watervliet man is accused in a drive by shooting on New Year’s Eve.

Police say 51-year-old Bruce "Dexter" Gottsammer shot a .22-caliber rifle at a Watervliet home, breaking a bedroom window.

They say someone was inside at the time, sleeping about two feet below the window. No one was hurt.

Gottsammer is in the Albany County Jail on numerous charges including felony reckless endangerment.
