ALBANY - The man at the center of a day long police standoff in Hoosick Falls has died.
On Monday police found 44-year-old Keith Gates with a gunshot wound to the head inside a home on Route 22.
The shooting followed a domestic dispute.
Crisis negotiators had tried talking to him for hours before he shot himself.
Wednesday morning Albany Medical Center confirmed his death.
No one else was injured in that standoff.
