ALBANY - The State Department of Motor Vehicles has a problem with one of its vendors.
And that means they can not send out new registrations and window stickers for cars and trucks.
This letter will serve as proof that your registration was recently processed by the DMV. It should be kept in the vehicle until permanent registration sticker arrives,” said the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles
Many people are getting a form letter from DMV saying your transaction has been processed and your registration is in full effect.
Those who receive the letter should keep the letter in your vehicle until the registration sticker arrives in the mail.
DMV says it has notified all police agencies and courts of this issue.
In the event of a traffic stop or accident, you should present them with your most recent registration and the letter from DMV.
