SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - A gun show scheduled for this weekend in Saratoga Springs will go on as planned but officials who run the venue hosting the event say they'll review future bookings at the publicly owned property.

Local media outlets report that the directors of the Saratoga Springs City Center Authority on Wednesday rejected requests from about 20 people who sought the cancellation of the gun show scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

The six-member authority listened to gun show opponents before announcing its support to go ahead with the show, organized by Mechanicville-based New Eastcoast Arms Collectors Associates.

Opponents had sought the event's cancellation after 20 children and six adults were killed last month by a gunman at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Three other gun shows are scheduled at the city center this year.
