A former member of the Vermont State Police is going to prison for up to two years.

James Deeghan admitted in court today that he padded his time sheets over a six year period.

Deeghan told the judge he has been under "tremendous" financial pressure.

In addition to serving prison time, Deeghan was ordered to pay the state more than $200,000.

The money will come from his pension.
