NY airman dies industrial accident in Tampa

MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AP) - Officials at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa say an airman has died in an industrial accident.

 
Authorities say 29-year-old Staff Sgt. Emily Elizabeth Clayburn of Palatine Bridge, N.Y., was killed about 4:30 p.m. on Monday at the base. She was a member of the 6th Air Mobility Wing.
 
Col. Scott DeThomas who commands the 6th Air Mobility Wing says Clayburn will be missed by everyone in the wing and all who had the chance to serve with her.
 
The cause of the accident is under investigation. No further details were provided.
