Lopez declines to testify on sexual assault allegations

ALBANY - It looks like the State Ethics Commission investigating a downstate assemblyman won't get to hear from the politician in person.
The New York Times is reporting that assemblyman Vito Lopez is declining to testify in the committee's inquiry.
He also does not plan to testify in a separate investigation by a special prosecutor.
Lopez is accused of violating the chamber's sexual harassment policy.
He maintains the allegations are not true.
