Fire destroys historic Washington County home

HARTFORD - A piece of history went up in flames in Washington County early Monday morning on Route 40 in Hartford.

The 200-year-old home was destroyed.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Post Star Newspaper reports the house was a rental and the tenants had just moved out last week.

Right now, investigators say there is no indication the fire is suspicious.
