Man arrested in Amsterdam stabbing

AMSTERDAM – A fight over family issues leads to a man getting stabbed.
The stabbing happened on John Street shortly before 3:30, Tuesday afternoon.
Police say 21-year-old Jan Guerra-Santos was arguing with his mom and her boyfriend, and allegedly stabbed the boyfriend in the leg.
The victim tried to drive himself to the hospital, but had to stop due to severe blood loss.
He’s was treated and released at Albany Medical Center.
Guerra-Santos now faces felony assault charges.
