SARATOGA SPRINGS - A graduate of Skidmore College and UAlbany was honored Friday at the White House.
Sallie Chisholm was part of the class of 1969 at Skidmore.
She later earned a PHD in biology at UAlbany in 1974.
She is now a biological oceanographer who teaches at MIT.
Chisholm was one of 12 researchers to receive the National Medal of Science Friday from president Obama.
The President also presented the National Medal of Technology and Innovation to 11 other people.
