SCHENECTADY - Police say they do not expect to file charges, after a 4-year-old girl was found in Schenectady wandering in the street with no coat and no shoes.

The toddler was found on Eastern Avenue in Schenectady early Monday evening.

Officials went door-to-door on Eastern Avenue to find the parents.

Police say it turns out the girl's grandmother, who was watching the toddler, fell asleep.

The child was taken to Ellis Hospital as a precautionary measure.

She is expected to be fine.

The girl is now back with her mother.
