Arrest made in cab driver stabbing

Schenectady police arrest a woman who allegedly stabbed a cab driver Thursday night, and then stole his cab.

18-year-old Desere Shaw is charged with attempted murder, assault, and grand larceny.

She is currently being held and will be arraigned tomorrow morning.

The cab driver, Derek Leach's injuries are not life threatening .

He was attacked near Eastern Avenue and Nott Terrace.

He was found at the Schenectady County Library, where there were small pools of blood.

His glove city taxicab was found a few blocks away.
