ALBANY - The state Assembly is now pushing to raise New York’s minimum wage to $9 an hour.

That's $0.25 higher than Gov. Cuomo's proposal.

The Assembly says it made the decision to amend its legislation following President Obama's calls to raise the federal minimum wage.
