Regal Cinemas closes two area theatres

Regal Cinemas at both the Wilton Mall and Latham Circle Mall, are showing their final movies Monday night.

However, it's not totally the end for movies at the Wilton Mall, which will be getting a new theatre.

Bowtie Cinemas plans to renovate the old Regal complex, and re-open it later this year.

No plans are in the works for the Latham Mall.

Regal says it's closing the theatres because profits are down.
