Albany pedestrian in critical condition after hit by car

ALBANY - An Albany woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car on Central Avenue on Thursday night around 10:20 p.m.

Police say it appears that 28-year-old Katherine Parker was crossing Central Avenue at the intersection when she was struck by a vehicle traveling in the westbound lane.

Parker was treated at the scene by firefighters and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital where she is currently in critical condition.

The driver, 68-year-old Corine Edwards of Albany was not injured during the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
