Car takes down utility pole in Latham

LATHAM - A car drove through a utility pole near the Newton Plaza on Route 9 in Latham early Tuesday morning.
Police say the driver fell asleep at the wheel. He was not injured.
Power was not lost, but Route 9 was reduced down to one lane. Police said at 5:45 a.m. that both lanes were back open.
