FORT EDWARD - A Queensbury woman accused of striking and killing a woman who was mowing her lawn is being tried this week in Washington County.

36-year old Deana Olsen is accused of driving under the influence of drugs in August 2011 when her Jeep veered off Route 4 and killed Terry Brownell as she mowed her lawn.

Olsen opted for a non-jury trial. Her attorney calls the crash a tragic accident but says it wasn't criminal.

If convicted of manslaughter, Olsen faces a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
