NEW YORK - A mother from Harlem with ties to the Albany area is dead, after she jumped from a window in her eight story apartment building, strapped to her infant son.
44-year-old Cynthia Wachenheim had strapped her 10-month-old baby to her chest in
A carrier, but when she fell, she landed on her back, and her baby son survived with just a few scratches.
Police say she left a suicide note mentioning post partum depression.
The New York Daily News says she went to high school in the Albany area.
