TROY - Members of the Troy Police Department were in a classroom Monday learning about domestic violence.
Through a partnership with Unity House, they received training on how to respond to a domestic violence incident.
The officers were told to make sure the victim is protected and well informed about his or her options.
According to Unity House, 1 in every 4 women will experience domestic violence during their lifetime.
