ALBANY - The Albany Fire Department is getting a boost from the Federal Government to help keep boaters safe on the Hudson River.

Senator Charles Schumer joined Albany officials down at the port Monday to unveil plans for the city's first-ever fire rescue boat.

The 30 foot boat will be state of the art, with the ability to rescue up to 14 people.
