ALBANY - It appears that the Albany International Airport has been spared from federal budget cuts.

The FAA has released its list of 149 federal contract airport towers set to close starting April 7.

Albany is not on that list.

The closures are part of the agency's sequestration plan.

An airport spokesman tells us he did not think Albany would be on the list as it has too many 24-hour operations.
