Ravena man faces unlawful imprisonment charges

SULLIVAN COUNTY - Police say a Ravena man dragged a screaming woman into his car, while in Sullivan County.

The woman sustained minor injuries while trying to jump out.

John Irby, 33, faces charges that include unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to witnesses, Irby dragged the woman into his car, and fled at a high rate of speed.

Police stopped the car to find the woman and two children inside.

Irby is now in the Sullivan County Jail.
