PITTSFIELD - Divers recovered the body of a man who drowned in the Housatonic River Tuesday in Pittsfield.

It took them much of the day to pull the body from an area near the Dam on Mill Street.

We still don't know who the man was.

A woman who tried to save him says he never should have gone swimming there in the first place.

This is the second drowning incident in Pittsfield.

On Sunday, a 22-year-old man drowned while boating with his father on the Otis Reservoir.

He's been identified as Derrick Vonberg Jr.

His body was recovered Tuesday afternoon.
