Rensselaer home torn down after Monday's storms

RENSSELAER – The Sixth Avenue home, heavily damaged during Monday’s storms, has now been torn down.

Only a vacant lot remains where the house on once stood.

A microburst packing winds of up to 100 miles per house on Monday sent a massive tree crashing into the home's second floor.

An elderly woman was home at the time, but luckily was not hurt.
