GUILDERLAND - A State Trooper was hurt Friday morning, after a car hit him during a traffic stop on the Thruway.

Police say the driver went into diabetic shock.

The accident happened around 6:45 Friday morning, in the Exit 23-24 workzone.

Troopers say a car driven by 58-year-old Stephen Milan of Middle Grove hit Trooper George Varghese.

The car swerved several times before coming to a stop near the Delaware Avenue overpass.

Both Milan and Trooper Verghese were treated for minor injuries and released.
