FT PLAIN - Police in Fort Plain say at least one woman is presumed dead after her mobile home was swept away in raging flood waters.

Family members confirm to News Channel 13 that 87-year old Ethel Healey remained inside her trailer home on Abbot Road Friday morning when flood waters from the swollen Otsquago Creek swept her away.

Police say she refused to leave her trailer, which was located near the river, despite warnings from officials.

Witnesses report seeing her trailer swept away by the waters.
