I realize we live in tenuous times. But I'm getting tired of angry people. I'm not going all kumbaya on you, but I am gently suggesting we all stop and take a moment before we tear into someone.
I was recently at an event that was running a bit behind schedule. Nothing drastic, just about 10 minutes. One of the attendees rode up one side and down the other of the organizer. To the organizer's credit, she stayed cool. It didn't matter what she said to that other person because they just kept on and on.
Look, when there are many participants things will not go as planned. Heck, even when there are only a few people things can get out of sync. I'm reminded of the quote by Lewis Carroll 'the hurrier- I go, the behinder I get.'
In other words, sometimes even our best intentions won't yield the best results... but it may not be from lack of care and trying.
So I'm just asking, please, that we all try to turn down the noise.
