Neighbors and the Red Cross are helping out a family after an overnight fire in a home at 14 Carroll Terrace in Albany.

Firefighters responded to the call around 12:30am, Sunday. Fire officials say the fire started in an upstairs bedroom. They are investigating the cause, but do not think it's suspicious.

No one was injured in the fire. Damages were mostly to the bedroom, but there was smoke and water damage to other areas of the home.

According to Fire Chief Garrett, the family is staying with neighbors and the Red Cross is assisting with food and clothing items.
