BERKSHIRE COUNTY - Should a police chief suspended and under federal indictment be paid?

That's the question people are being asked in Berkshire County.

A public hearing will be held tomorrow night concerning embattled Lee Police Chief, Joseph Buffis.

He's facing federal extortion and money laundering charges.

The board of selectmen is trying to decide whether Buffis should continue serving his suspension without pay or benefits.

Buffis faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each count if convicted.

Tuesday's meeting takes place at 7 p.m. in Memorial Town Hall.
