ALBANY COUNTY - Officials in Albany County are warning residents to stay out of Lawson Lake.

The county executive says the lake is not safe to swim in right now thanks to a significant algae bloom.

The blooms, he says, naturally occur in shallow waters especially during hot weather.

They could pose health problems to people and pets.

The county-owned park re-opened to the public last month, however, no swimming is allowed.
