Massaschusetts governor talks education in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Ma. - Governor Deval Patrick has education on his mind.

He was at Pittsfield High School Monday morning.

The governor met with students to talk about the importance of investing in education.

“I learned that judging from the quality and energy and brain power and character of these young people that the future of the commonwealth is in great hands. It’s going to be up to the adults to cultivate that, and encourage it, meet their needs, stretch them, and encourage them to learn to stretch themselves,” said Gov. Patrick.

The governor now heads to New York City for the annual Education Nation forum.
