New York State Police are reminding drivers of the dangers of deer season.

Deer are very active through November.

As you travel, be on the lookout for them, especially at dawn and dusk.

One deer crossing the road may indicate others are about to cross.

If a collision is unavoidable, don't swerve.

Instead, bring the car to a complete stop in order to avoid a more serious accident.
