Former state contractor arrested

James Burton

DELMAR - A former state contract worker has been arrested for allegedly changing the passwords of other people's computers without their permission.  

James Burton, 52, of Delmar, worked as a contractor with the state Office of Information Technology Services. He was based at the Swan Street office in downtown Albany. 

Burton is charged with computer trespass and is due in court on Wednesday.
