Armed robber tries to strike twice in Clifton Park

CLIFTON PARK – Saratoga County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating an armed robbery in Clifton Park.

Deputies say the robbery took place Tuesday night at the Dunkin Donuts off Exit 8.

They say a man walked into the store, showed a gun and demanded money.

New York State Police are also investigating an attempted armed robbery that took place just 15 minutes earlier at Friendly’s on State Route 146.

The suspect in both instances is described as a white man in his 20s or early 30s.

He’s about 5’11” with a thin build and a thin face.

Officials say he was wearing a light gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt with lettering on the front and dark blue jeans with rips down the front of both legs.
