A ground-breaking new procedure is helping people with Macular Degeneration to see again. Doctors can now implant a miniature telescope into a patient's eye.

The device magnifies the part of vision that is blocked and projects it onto the healthy retina.

This is not a quick fix. It requires intense rehabilitation because the brain needs to be re-trained how to use the telescope.

15 million Americans suffer from macular degeneration.

It's the leading cause of blindness in the country.
