A Glens Falls couple is accused of failing to accurately report their household income while applying for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and medical assistance benefits.
Police say 32-year-old Angelica Berry and 29-year-old Eric Berry did not report that Angelica was working as a home health aide when they filed to recertify for the benefits.
Police say the couple obtained more than $5,330 in SNAP benefits and $1,703 in medical assistance benefits that they wouldn't have been entitled to.
Angelica Berry was charged with welfare fraud, grand larceny, healthcare fraud and offering a false instrument. Eric Berry was charged with offering a false instrument and healthcare fraud.
Both were arraigned in Queensbury Town Court on Thursday. Their next appearance is scheduled for March 17.
