Man sentenced for shooting at Albany police officers

ALBANY - A man who shot at police last year was sentenced on Thursday morning.

Malik Moore, 34, will spend up to seven years in prison on weapons possession and reckless endangerment charges.

Moore, 34, fired three shots as officers tried to break up a fight near the Port Tavern on South Pearl Street last June.

He also had two dogs with him at the time.

No one was hit.

Malik also faces three years of post-release supervision.
