ALBANY - Some moms are pushing New York State lawmakers to make sure the toys their kids play with are free from toxic chemicals.
The group, “Moms for a Non-Toxic New York,” rallied in Albany on Tuesday in front of a giant rubber ducky.
Among them, the woman behind the film, “Toxic Baby.”
“I had my blood tested and the things that are in my blood, they have no right being there and they have no right being in my children,” said Penelope Jaggesar-Chaffer.
The group is pushing for the passage of the “Child Safe Products Act.”
The bill would identify chemicals of concern and keep them out of children's products. She says she was surprised at just how easily chemicals can get into our bodies.
