If given early on, chemotherapy may help men with advanced prostate cancer live longer.
A study funded by the National Cancer Institute looked at men diagnosed with late-stage prostate cancer.
They compared the outcomes of men either on hormone therapy alone or hormone therapy plus chemotherapy.
They found those with added chemo lived about 14 months longer than those on just hormone therapy.
