Strawberry Zabaglione with Augie Vitiello

Strawberry Zabaglione.


1 pint fresh strawberry's

6 egg yolks

1/2 cup of sugar

1/2 cup marsala wine

1 cup whipping cream

1/2 oz vanilla extract

1 tea spoon powder sugar


  1. In a bowl place your egg yolks, sugar, and marsala wine. Whisk till smooth.
  2. Place over a double boiler and whisk till it forms into thick custard. (5-8 min.)
  3. Once cooked chill the custard completely by placing over a bowl of ice.
  4. In a separate bowl add the whipping cream, powder sugar, and vanilla. Whisk to form a stiff whipped cream.
  5. Fold the cool custard and the whip cream together to form a smooth custard.
  6. Place your sliced strawberry's in a wine glass and spoon the zabaglione over the top and enjoy.
