CLIFTON PARK - Work is now underway on a new cancer center in Clifton Park.

New York Oncology Hematology broke ground Friday on a $20 million facility at 3 Crossing Boulevard.

The 28,000 square foot center will be the largest comprehensive cancer center in Saratoga County.

Cancer survivor Lisa Morahan, says the facility will save patients on that side of the Twin Bridges, a lot of time.

“I think it's incredible, not to have to go over the bridges, I mean it's a big parking lot, and when you need to get to your appointment at 8 a.m. in the morning, that means you're getting up at 5 a.m.,” says Morahan.

Construction is expected to be completed by the spring of 2015.
