SALEM – A village in Washington County is getting a large chunk of state grant money to study dissolution.
Governor Andrew Cuomo says Salem will receive $40,000 of a Citizen Re-Organization Grant to help study the existing services and operational costs as well as the fiscal impact of dissolution.
It aims to develop information for voters ahead of the August referendum on the subject.
An Oneida County village also received money through the grant.
