SCHENECTADY - A house in Schenectady is given new life thanks to the city and community land trust.
The home at 8 Myrtle Avenue was rehabilitated through the "Home Ownership Made Easy in Schenectady" program.
The program helps residents navigate through the home buying process with the goal of getting more people to move in and stay in the city.
“This has definitely been an incentive. This is definitely going to make me stay in Schenectady. So, along with bringing homes to the area and jobs for professionals and people. We can stay. I want to be here,” said a homeowner
The city will host its third annual homes fair at city hall this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It will be held in conjunction with the city-wide open house weekend, which takes place from 1-4 p.m., also on Sunday.
