ROTTERDAM - A hiker is recovering after falling 30 feet down an embankment in Schenectady County on Thursday night.

Police say Marleah Fatauzzi, 18, of Ballston Spa was hiking with friends in a non-rescrited area, and lost her footing.

It took rescue crews three hours to get to her.

She was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with head and leg injuries, but is expected to be okay.

Police say drugs and alcohol were not factors.
