Researchers say more drugs are needed to help with the growing number of patients being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Without a successful treatment, it's estimated there will be 16 million Americans suffering with Alzheimer’s by 2050.
According to a new study from the Cleveland Clinic, the current failure rate for Alzheimer’s drugs in development is 99.6 percent.
On top of that, the number of new drugs for the disease is on the decline.
Researchers say there are new advancements in the field that should help bolster new research.
