ALBANY - It was a fun, messy time on Thursday for some 20 area high school students taking part in Albany Medical College's Med-Quest Camp.

They learned how to mold a cast.

It's part of a week-long educational experience that exposes the teens to careers in health care.

Along with hands-on projects they meet with health care professionals including pharmacists, surgeons and nurses.

Med-Quest WAS developed through a partnership between Albany Medical College and the New York State Area Health Education Center.

The camp is currently in its fourth year.

The cost is free.
